The continuing attacks on Jews
and Jewish institutions in France have now surpassed
three hundred since October 2000 -- more numerous than in any other Western
country. The targeting of synagogues, schools, cemeteries, and individuals
has occurred with alarming frequency since the outbreak of Intifada II in
October 2000. Meanwhile, the refusal of French authorities to acknowledge
these hate crimes as anti-Jewish in nature is prompting a growing feeling
of abandonment and of isolation among French Jewry.
In an attempt to confront the problem
head on, the Wiesenthal Center has had ongoing discussions with officials
in the Prime Minister's office and other government leaders but to date,
there is little evidence that the French government is prepared to deal
forcefully with the problems at hand.
For example, in a June 2001 meeting
with the French Foreign Minister, the Center's delegation was told that assaults
on Jewish institutions were "only acts of suburban hooliganism."
The Center is redoubling its efforts
in dealing with this ongoing crisis. It is just releasing Anti-Semitism 2002
in France a report which lists the most serious anti-Semitic attacks. Rabbi
Cooper, the Center's associate dean has just spent the week in France where
he briefed leaders of the Council of Europe on the continuing attacks on
Jewish institutions. He, together with Dr. Shimon Samuels, the Center's
Paris-based Director for International Liaison, participated in a one day
Wiesenthal Center conference,
"Anti-Jewish Aggression" under
the auspices of the mayor of Paris. They also met with the French Interior
Minister to press for long delayed measures to curb the violence, prosecute
the perpetrators, and act against those who inspire the hate.

petition that will be sent directly to Prime Minister Lionel Jospin and President
Jacques Chirac of France.

At best, therefore, the Arabs living in the land can insist to be treated in the fair manner the Bible lays down for foreigners in the Israeli homeland. |

BUT to do so, they will have to comply with the Biblical norms laid down for foreigners: namely to recognize that the Jews are the rightful occupants of the land and by not serving foreign gods in the land.
Here again, Pres. Bill Clinton doesn't realize
that the God of the Bible and the God (gods actually) of Islam are different
Gods. Islam comes from the Baal stable and its Prophet Mohammad doesn't comply
with the qualifications of a prophet of the God of Israel.

Paralyzed with fear of American and
world opinion and Arab countries, Israeli-leaders can learn from the Serbs
that nothing happens when you fight Islam at ROOT LEVEL, namely by destroying
its physical structures, its mosques and minarets.
Ironically, Western nations protested
about this "brave"(**) action by the Serbs, while the Arabs and Muslim countries
didn't react noticeably.
Fact is, it doesn't make sense to only retaliate against the peopleperforming
the atrocities on behalf of the Islamic agenda or the Mullahs whoput them
up to it, Islam itself needs to be targeted. The way to do it is toattack
the physical structures associated with Islam, like their minaretsand mosques.
It will make the spirits attached to Islam homeless andimpotent and destroy
their incitement (communication) system. (The reasonwhy making images is
absolutely forbidden in the laws given to Moses isbecause there are demons
attached to them). A good example of the actionthat should be taken is that
of king Josiah (2 Kings 21-23) as far asbreaking down pagan structures is
concerned - not killing heathen priests,although I have a word that the Arabs
in Israel are going to lose theirentire male population, men and boys, yes
even the boys, because they willbe armed and forced to face the Jews like
they do now with stones.
**What the western nations don't realize is that Islam is again trying togain
control over Europe via the Balkans as it had also tried previouslythrough
Spain. Islam is tolerated today due to its success to camouflage itsreal
aim in lies. For instance:
Its God isn't the same God as the God of Israel. In fact. it's not even Abrahamic, the God of Islam, only surfaced and introduced himself (to Mohammad) thousands of years after the time of Abraham.
Islamic militants don't just represent
a minor factions of Islam, Islamas such is militant. It is a religion of
the sword and it exerts itself bygaining control over territory and then
declaring itself over the conquered territory by means of its so-called prayers
- 5 times a day. In other words, the militant factions like Hamas, Hisbollah,
Islamic Jihad, the Ayatollah Homeinis, etc. represent the real face of
Islam.

Zionsake Editor: Yasser Arafat talks about this "peace of the brave," a depiction of the basis of the (suicidal for Israel) Oslo peace plan, he had borrowed from Yitzchak Rabin - he was the man who looked so unhappy during the photo op. on the White House lawn -- for having to shake Arafat's hand? Where the bravery comes in for Israel, entails the "painful concessions" Arial Sharon invariably brings up whenever he talks about the peace he is going to concoct - without looking very pained himself -- perhaps his gaze is too firmly fixed on the reward his boss G. W. Bush and his piers have offered him on a global level.
Where the "bravery" actually comes in, is in
defying Israel's God's absolutely clear and simple commands regarding the
people the Hebrews would find in the land - in Joshua's time and in 1948.
They were not to make peace treaties with them or have anything to do with
their gods. There are also a number of examples of Israel and Judah being
prevented from trusting other nations to assist them - instead of Yehovah.

Those even-handed Euros are always at the forefront
of the drive for Mideast peace

The European Union continues to pour oodles of aid money into an economically
and politically corrupt Palestinian Authority. Less known is the fact that
liberal amounts of these funds serve to promote the most extreme Palestinian
aspirations and political goals, including the right of return.
European Union External Affairs Commissioner Chris Patten would have us believe
that EU assistance to the Palestinians is mainly humanitarian; that it is
carefully monitored; and that it is a lever for reform. In a letter to The
Jerusalem Post on July 18, Patten added that "the EU has no reason to be
ashamed of its efforts to maintain the Palestinian Authority as a valid
interlocutor for Israel, in order to prevent a slide into even greater chaos
and anarchy."
I'm glad that Patten believes his own platitudes; otherwise, he should resign.
After all, Patten is behind the 1.42 billion euros that the EU has dished
out to Palestinians since 1994, not including about 1 billion euros more
that has been contributed directly by various European states. In fact, the
EU has provided about one-quarter of all international assistance to the
Palestinians over the past eight years, according to a study to be published
this fall by Dr. Gil Feiler of the Begin-Sadat Center for Strategic
Studies.
However, if you open up the EU aid books a different, much less likable picture
emerges. (Some of the information is available on the Web site of the EU

To begin with, only half the annual EU aid to the Palestinians is allocated
for "humanitarian purposes"; in 2002, for example, about 113 million out
of 232 million euros. This includes assistance to the PA, to Palestinian
NGOs, and to UNWRA for emergency food aid, post-injury rehabilitation,
psycho-social support, health services, cash assistance to "special hardship
cases," water, electricity, shelter, non-food humanitarian items, environmental
services, education, infrastructure, interest subsidies for the private sector,
etc.
By propping up the present PA regime, Chris Patten's EU is prolonging "chaos
and anarchy," not preventing it.
I have no problem with this, despite the fact that the EU has never provided
similar assistance to innocent, terrorized, and traumatized Israeli citizens
who also could use help in post-injury rehabilitation, psycho-social support,
cash assistance to special hardship cases, and so on. The EU is entitled,
after all, to help one side of this conflict more than the other. The real
problems start with the other half of EU aid to the Palestinians, moneys
allocated to sustaining the PA Israel's "valid interlocutor" according to
Patten.
Forty-five percent of EU aid (totaling about 110 million euros committed
for 2002) is devoted to covering the salaries of the PA's bloated municipal,
social, and security bureaucracies. Indeed, two-thirds of the PA's $90 million
monthly budget is devoted to salaries. Ten percent of this budget (about
9 million euros) is transferred monthly by the EU.
THIS BLOATED bureaucracy is the mainstay of Yasser Arafat's regime -- a corrupt,
violent regime; a regime unwilling to compromise with Israel but willing
to cooperate with Hamas and Jihad; a regime that boasts the largest "police
force" per capita in the world for which the EU is paying but which nevertheless
is unwilling to stop terrorism against Israelis.
Even more infuriating is the fact that Patten's aid administrators willfully
ignore the corruption. According to documents captured by the IDF during
Operation Defensive Shield, the PA employs a crafty double-reporting system
to skim off funds for non-salary purposes (meaning terrorism), totaling as
much as 14 percent of the $60m. a month it gets from international donors
for the payment of salaries.
The PA's cunning works like this: It overreports its real salary needs by
one-third; it manipulates exchange rates in order to manufacture unreported
surpluses by delaying payment to its employees; it pads the employee rolls
with hundreds of Fatah activists; and it deducts 1% to 2% from the salaries
of security forces personnel as "Fatah membership fees." These fees are then
used to finance local militias and direct terrorist activities, according
to the unassailable documents captured by the IDF.
It gets worse.
About 5% of EU funding for the Palestinians is devoted, ostensibly, to the
"promotion of peace." These funds have been allocated, however, mainly to
organizations that suborn, not promote, Mideast peace; groups that encourage,
not curb, radical Palestinian demands and goals.
Under the rubric of the MEDA Democracy Promotion and People to People--Permanent
Status Issues programs, the EU lavishes funds on the most viciously anti-Israel
"human rights" groups, including Al-Haq, LAW, Adala, and other "promoters
of democracy" (over 500,000 euros for 2000, and apparently in 2001 and 2002
as well).
The Israeli Committee against House Demolitions received 250,000 euros, as
did Ir Shalem, which seeks to "block Jewish development of sites in the Muslim
Quarter, Har Homa, Ras el-Amud, Silwan, near Orient House," etc. The EU also
finances the "monitoring of Israeli colonising activities" (sic) to the tune
of 500,000 euros.
Sharing this largesse, strangely, was The Four Mothers Movement to Leave
Lebanon in Peace (allocated 250,000 euros in 2000, which was 100 percent
of its total project budget). Somehow, the glorious Four Mothers do not strike
me as key contributors to Palestinian civil society or to Mideast dialogue.
The support they received from the EU, rather, is a striking illustration
of the EU's galling interference in Israeli politics.
As for actual Palestinian-Israeli dialogue (alas, cut short by Arafat's war
in fall 2000), the EU prefers programs run by the very extreme, hard-Left
in Israel, such as Peace Now (awarded 400,000 euros) and Oslo architect Prof.
Yair Hirschfeld (another 400,000 euros).
Ghassan Hatib's Jerusalem Media Communications Center, the PA's main propaganda conduit to foreign journalists, is sumptuously endowed with over 700,000 euros.
My favorite EU grantee is an outfit called The
Middle East Center for Legal and Economic Research, which received 300,000
euros "to identify and appraise Palestinian refugee real-estate holdings
in Israel." This clearly encourages Palestinian dreams of "returning" to
Israel; or at the very least, it is designed to help the Palestinians demand

What
Denmark can teach America about dealing with Muslims
--- and what we (in the USA) ignore at our own risk

For years, Danes lauded
multiculturalism and insisted they had no problem with the Muslim customs
--- until one day they found that they
did. The truly wise are folks who learn from OTHER PEOPLE'S mistakes.
A Muslim organization in Denmark announced a few days ago that a $30,000
bounty would be paid for the murder of several prominent Danish Jews, a threat
that garnered wide international notice. Less well known is that this is
just one problem associated with Denmark's approximately 200,000 Muslim
immigrants. The key issue is that many of them show little desire to fit
into their adopted country.
For years, Danes lauded
multiculturalism and insisted they had no problem with the Muslim customs
- until one day they found that they did. Some major issues:
Living on the dole. Third-world immigrants -- most of them Muslims from countries such as Turkey, Somalia, Pakistan, Lebanon and Iraq -- constitute 5 percent of the population but consume upwards of 40 percent of the welfare spending.
Engaging in crime. Muslims are only 4 percent of Denmark's 5.4 million people but make up a majority of the country's convicted rapists, an especially combustible issue given that practically all the female victims are non-Muslim. Similar, if lesser, disproportions are found in other crimes.
Self-imposed isolation. Over time, as Muslim immigrants increase in numbers, they wish less mix with the indigenous population. A recent survey finds that only 5 percent of young Muslim immigrants would readily marry a Dane.
Importing unacceptable customs. Forced marriages - promising a newborn daughter in Denmark to a male cousin in the home country, then compelling her to marry him, sometimes on pain of death - are one problem. Another is the vocal intent to kill Muslims who convert out of Islam.
Fomenting anti-Semitism. Muslim violence threatens Denmark's approximately 6,000 Jews, who increasingly depend on police protection. Jewish parents were told by one school principal that she could not guarantee their children's safety and were advised to attend another institution. Anti-Israel marches have turned into anti-Jewish riots. One organization, Hizb-ut-Tahrir, openly calls on Muslims to "kill all Jews ... wherever you find them."
Seeking Islamic law . Muslim leaders openly declare their goal of introducing Islamic law once Denmark's Muslim population grows large enough - a not-that remote prospect. If present trends persist, one sociologist estimates, every third inhabitant of Denmark in forty years will be Muslim.
Other Europeans (such as the late
Pim Fortuyn in Holland) have also grown alarmed about these issues, but Danes
first made them the basis for a change in government.
In a momentous election last November, a center-right coalition came to power
that - for the first time since 1929 - excluded the socialists. The right
broke its 72-year losing streak and won a solid parliamentary majority because
it promised to handle immigration issues, the electorate's first concern,
differently from the socialists.
The next nine months did witness some fine-tuning of procedures: immigrants
now must live seven years in Denmark (rather than three) to become permanent
residents; most non-refugees no longer can collect welfare checks immediately
on entering the country; and no one can bring into the country a spouse under
the age of 24. The state prosecutor is considering a ban on Hizb-ut-Tahrir
for its death threats against Jews.
These minor adjustments prompted howls internationally - with European and
UN reports condemning Denmark for racism and "Islamophobia," the Washington
Post reporting that Muslim immigrants "face habitual discrimination," and
a London Guardian headline announcing that "Copenhagen Flirts with Fascism."
In reality, however, the new government barely addressed the existing problems.
Nor did it prevent new ones, such as the death threats against Jews or a
recent Islamic edict calling on Muslims to drive Danes out of the
Nørrebro quarter of Copenhagen.
The authorities remain indulgent. The military mulls permitting Muslim soldiers
in Denmark's volunteer International Brigade to opt out of actions they don't
agree with - a privilege unique to them. Mohammed Omar Bakri, the self-proclaimed
London-based "eyes, ears and mouth" of Osama bin Laden, won permission to
set up a branch of his organization, Al-Muhajiroun.
Contrary to media reports, the real news from Denmark is not flirting with
fascism but getting mired in inertia. A government elected specifically to
deal with a set of problems has made minimal headway. Its reluctance has
potentially profound implications for the West as a whole.
