Churches need to share God's Agenda for Israel and the Jews

Letter to the leadership of a prominent church in South Africa after the death of their senior pastor.

Dear Pastor ..........

I felt after Pastor .....'s death that there is going to be a tremendous multiplication on congregational level through the leaders he raised up over the years. The Joshua vision and the taking of Jericho and the Promised land has caused me to realize that the Pastors will have to become military commanders and the members, soldiers in the (evangelical) battle that lies  ahead.

In this battle, you said in your sermon on Sunday morning, there isn't room for member's private agendas. But God himself has another agenda apart from his desire for everyone in the world to be saved. It is His Promised land, His inheritance where His Holy Hill is, the land He has promised to His firstborn son, the Jews, to live in.

Yes, there is a physical Jericho that God has in the meantime lost and needs to retake, as well as His Temple Mount, most of East Jerusalem, Bethlehem, most of the Judea & Samaria, Gaza, etc. Jesus is going to descend on Mt Olives, but it is mostly in the hands of Moslems and pro-Palestinian Churches.

My plea is not for  your church to add evangelism in Israel to its vision. All I'm asking is for it to recognize and show solidarity with God's agenda for Israel, to get to know His heart's cry to re-establish himself in Zion - an assignment perhaps for the (church's) College. How else can one know God's timing for his return other than to keep abreast with what still needs to happen in the Middle East?

Yours sincerely in Messiah
